Introduction
Producing plastic components for medical and pharmaceutical use — pipettes, cuvettes, syringes, disposables, closures — requires hundredth-of-a-millimeter tolerances on multi-cavity molds up to 64 cavities, designed for cleanroom production. Every mold is built with non-lubricated elements or with certified medical-grade lubricants, to ensure the absence of contamination and the suitability of the produced components for the requirements of the medical and pharmaceutical sector.

How many cavities do molds for the medical and pharmaceutical sector usually have?
The configuration varies according to the component and the production volumes. For most medical and diagnostic components we work with molds from 1 to 16 cavities. For high-volume disposables — caps, closures and small parts — we go up to 64 cavities. -
Do you build molds with an unscrewing system for threaded components?
Yes. We build molds with an unscrewing ejection system for threaded components such as pharmaceutical caps and closures. The mechanism — electrically, pneumatically or hydraulically driven — ejects the part in a controlled way without damaging the thread, ensuring high dimensional repeatability and a long mold service life. A solution particularly suited to fine threads and small components in the medical and pharmaceutical sector. -
Can you produce prototypes before the final mold?
Yes. We build single-cavity pilot molds in steel in-house as a preliminary stage to building the final multi-cavity mold. The samples produced are delivered to the customer for dimensional and functional validation of the component before approval for series production.
