Molds for home care packaging: trigger sprayers, dispensers and closures for detergents.

Injection molds for the home care sector: trigger sprayers, closures, dispensers and dispensers for detergents and household products in PP, PET and HDPE. High production volumes, chemical resistance, optimized cycle times.

Injection mold for an HDPE household trigger sprayer - Uniform
Introduction

The home care sector — detergents, household cleaning products, laundry and bathroom care — sees high production volumes and indispensable chemical resistance requirements. Over the years Uniform has developed specific expertise in this segment, with molds for trigger sprayers, household dispensers, dispensers and closures in PP, PET and HDPE — from the most standard designs to high-output solutions — for high volumes up to millions of cycles. Our multi-cavity molds reach up to 16 cavities for trigger sprayers and closures.

The chemical resistance of mold steels is a critical factor that we manage as early as the specification stage. We work with a valve-gate hot runner to eliminate the sprue and reduce waste, optimized cooling for reduced cycle times and balanced cavities for stable, repeatable production.

Technical features

High output and chemical resistance: our approach to home care.

The cost per part in home care packaging depends largely on the cycle time. That is why we design optimized conditioning circuits for every mold. We work with a valve-gate hot runner to eliminate the sprue, reduce waste and ensure a clean injection point on every cavity. The choice of steel is made as early as the specification stage, depending on the type of formulation, with suitable surface coatings to ensure durability and reliability in cooling and in the service life of the mold.

Chemical resistance

Materials and steels for resistance to home care formulations.

Each material has its own process challenges: HDPE requires careful crystallinity management to avoid defects on thick walls; PP tends towards stress-whitening in forced-ejection zones; PET is sensitive to residual moisture before injection. Knowing these behaviors lets us design molds that produce conforming parts from the first cycle, reducing waste and production downtime.
